Black & Decker Blower/Vacuum Leaf Collection System #BV-006 Where was this last fall when we were knee-deep in rakes, plastic bags, and complaining teenagers? What a spiffy contraption this is. The collection system–an 8-foot hose and can cover–fits all Black & Decker blower/vacs. The idea is genius: Attach the adjustable drawstring cover to your garbage can, attach the hose to your blower/vac. Pretend you’re in your living room and vacuum the yard. The leaves are sucked directly into your garbage can. No more bending, scooping, lifting, sweating, or cajoling grumpy teens into doing autumn’s most bedeviling chore. Works as advertised. I use my B&D Leafhog to suck leaves into 30 gal refuse bags. Consider buying a funnel at ACE hardware to attach the leaf collection system to for ease of filling your refuse bags.

I hesitated getting this product because of the comments about the difficulty in keeping the fabric “lid” on the waste can. But I thought “There must be a solution. I wonder….?” So I went ahead and ordered it, and, when it came, went to W—–t and bought a yard waste receptacle with a lid that could be secured with its handles. I then cut a hole in the lid just big enough for the hose, ran the hose through, attached the cloth bag to the can (DON’T remove the fabric “lid”), and then secured the lid on top of the fabric with the handles. Voila–the lid stayed on (without relying on the tie cord) and, therefore, there was very little dust. I am very happy with the modified product–it works like a dream.

Customer Review: be aware of restrictions for propane
The generator is great, neat and arrived in good shape with adequate instructions. Be sure to order the wheel set as it will make it easier to move and service. It’s too heavy to schlep around by ones self.
When using propane be aware that this unit will not run off a 20 or 40 pound tank like a BBQ, Minimum tank size is 100 pound tank. If the latter is used, a pressure regulator (expensive) must be in the line. If hooked up to your own home supply of propane an additional regulator has to be installed. I recommend you specify a quick-connect whip for purposes of mobility and storage. Also, if hooked to your home supply of propane you must/should call your supplier each time you run it for any length of time so they can adjust your delivery schedule due to the increased usage. Better yet before ordering check with your supplier about codes (not all plumbers are insured for this type of hook up work) and equipment. Some are lenient others are not so much. Check if your house insurance is voided if an unauthorized tech hooks you up.

I purchased this generator and wheen kit from Northern a few years ago. Until all the recent hurricanes I have not had much opportunity to use it. I am 100% satisfied with this little workhorse. It has never failed to start and my wife can pull start it on the first pull.
